Just like every year, Apple has introduced their latest iPhone models less than three months ago. As expected, these iPhone models look amazing and come with many interesting features. Some of these features are new, while others are just upgraded. There were three iPhone models, but the one that grabbed the attention of the public the most is the iPhone X. This is the reason why many people are comparing iPhone 8 to iPhone X.
Before we go into details, let us mention that there are some things that both iPhone 8 and iPhone X have in common. First of all, they have the same A11 Bionic processor. They also have the same selfie and primary camera (7 MP and 12 Mp respectively). As a result of that, they have the same video recording options. iPhone 8 and iPhone X support wireless charging, they have 3D Touch feature and water and dust resistance.
Now that we know what they have in common, let’s check the differences.
The differences between iPhone X and iPhone 8
To start with, iPhone X has a slightly bigger body – 5.65 x 2.79 x 0.3 inches compared to 5.45 x 2.65 x 0.29 inches. The reason for this difference is simple, the size of iPhone X’s display is significantly bigger – 5.8 inches compared to 4.7 inches found in iPhone 8. This is one of the main reasons why so many people prefer iPhone X. while we are talking about the display, we can freely say that iPhone X has a superior type of screen. It has a Super AMOLED touchscreen with 16 million colors compared to iPhone 8’s IPS LCD screen with 16 million colors.
For some reason, Apple has decided to add iOS 11 to iPhone 8 which can be upgraded to 11.1 – the version used by iPhone X. The latter also has a better internal RAM memory 3 GB compared to 2 GB.
Even though we have already mentioned that these two smartphones have cameras with a same number of megapixels, it’s good to know that iPhone X has a 2x optical zoom, something that iPhone 8 misses.
Most people like the innovative features found on Apple’s iPhones. These two models will certainly not leave you disappointed. iPhone X and iPhone 8 share many of these features, but iPhone X comes with one extra feature known as Face IF. This option allows users to unlock their phone and use special features with a simple face recognition app.
iPhone X is superior when it comes to battery life too. It can last for up to 21 hours compared to 14 hours provided by iPhone 8.
Users of both iPhone models can benefit from the long list of accessories available for these phones. For instance, they can get a fast charging power adapter and a wireless charging pad. There are some specially designed iPhone X cases and iPhone 8 cases too.
All in all, both iPhone X and iPhone 8 are excellent smartphones, but iPhone X is more powerful which is why this model is more expensive too.
